Winter is a lovely season in the Black Forest, and there are countless hidden little gems to find and adore here. Today, I will take you to some of my favourite locations in the Northern Black Forest that may be less famous but are every bit as beautiful as the established landmarks of the region.

Lake Seealpsee is a stunning lake in the midst of Bavarian Alps. It is a tough hike, but those who see it through will be rewarded with fantastic views.
High in the mountains of Allgäu, reachable only through hours of excruciating hike, lies a beautiful Alpine lake Schrecksee. We managed to get to it just in time to photograph an incredible sunset.
